HP piping for Großkraftwerk Mannheim

At the end of December 2007, Großkraftwerk Mannheim AG (GKM) awarded Kraftanlagen München the contract for the engineering, supply, production and installation of the HP piping systems for the new hard coal fired unit 9 at Mannheim-Neckarau.

The gross electrical output is 910 MW and the maximum district heat output is approx. 500 MWth. This power plant unit is designed for base and mediumload operation and, with an efficiency over 20 % higher than other power plants of its kind, is one of the most modern hard coal fired units in the world.
