Assembly plant for IP/LP pipes at KAM subsidiary FINOW Rohrsysteme GmbH
Tuesday, January 20, 2009
Kraftanlagen München is building a new assembly plant for IP/LP pipes at its subsidiary FINOW Rohrsysteme GmbH. This will enable the company to react faster to increasingly short installation times, a growing demand for installation capacity and the often limited work space on construction sites.
The new assembly hall is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, such as a CNC-controlled plasma cutting plant for pipes, a powder welding system for round seam and nozzle welds, as well as 4 gantry cranes. These optimal conditions mean that a large number of parts can be processed within a short time.
A generously proportioned truck turning loop in front of a hard-surfaced open-space warehouse equipped with a mobile revolving tower crane ensures fast loading and unloading. A new warehouse is also available to provide sufficient storage capacity.
Important key data at a glance:
- Assembly hall: 3,500 m²
- Open-space warehouse: 7,000 m²
- Warehouse: 750 m²
- Mobile revolving tower crane: Max. carrying capacity of 10 tons
- Plasma cutting plant for pipes with DN 100 - DN 1500
The Finow site also offers a very good infrastructure and can be accessed via road, rail and the Finow canal.
This investment strengthens Kraftanlagen München's position as one of the leading companies in the field of qualified piping and plant construction in Europe.
