The use of WIG orbital welding for parts production and installation makes it possible to effectively produce high-quality welded connections on thick-walled pipes made of different materials.
Kraftanlagen München (KAM) has had the technical wherewithal for the orbital welding of thick-walled pipes for quite some time. We are certified to perform process tests for the materials 10CrMo9-10 and P92. We can also simulate installation conditions.
Since May 2008 we have been using the welding process productively for the parts production of pipe pools and for the installation of HP systems in large-scale power plants.
KAM is currently setting up a new orbital welding center at the Moosinning factory with a view to further developing the technology and providing training our employees.
