In April 2004 following months of preparations, KAM was awarded a large-scale contract from OMV Vienna in conjunction with the planners Linde AG.
The "AC revamp" entails the conversion and expansion of the ethylene plant. This key section of the Schwechat (near Vienna) refinery is used for generating the basic materials for manufacturing plastic, for example.
Installation commences in October 2004 and is due to end in the autumn of 2005. The plant will then be integrated in the refinery during a major shutdown operation.
