How Kraftanlagen München GmbH became what it is today


1953

Kraftanlagen Heidelberg AG set up the Munich engineering office.

Planning and consulting projects for municipal authorities and industrial customers.

 

1959

Setting up of installation department for piping systems and plant construction.

Planning and implementation of district heating, gas and water supply projects for municipal utility companies. 

 

1962

First projects in chemical and petrochemical plant construction with orders connected with the construction of new refineries in Bavaria and from the chemical factories in the Burghausen area.

 

1963

The engineering office was transformed into the Munich office of Kraftanlagen Heidelberg AG.

Planning and implementation of large-scale projects for piping systems and plant construction in the automobile and food industries, and for the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Expansion of the power engineering division with orders for the planning and installation of power plants and heating power plants, as well as for the construction of district heating supply networks.

 

1972

Expansion of activities to the fields of building systems and fire protection technology, setting up of a 24-hour service department.

Planning and implementation of large-scale projects in the field of building systems and facility technology.

 

1976

First projects in nuclear engineering with orders for the planning and implementation of nuclear power plants in Germany and abroad.

Handling of projects for piping systems and plant construction in Algeria, Venezuela, Finland, the Netherlands and Iran.

 

1985

Further expansion of power engineering division.

General contractor for large-scale projects involving the construction of heating and combined heat and power plants, incl. district heating distribution networks and converter substations.

 

1990

Setting up of the Dresden engineering office.

Planning and implementation of projects in the new federal German states for the construction of new, and the refurbishment of existing, power generation plants, as well as for district heating supply systems.

 

1991

Setting up of the subsidiary Kraftanlagen Fertigungsbetrieb Reinsdorf GmbH (Reinsdorf near Wittenberg), key activities being the installation of piping systems and plant construction for the chemical and petrochemical industries. 

 

1993

The Munich office changed to Kraftanlagen Anlagentechnik München GmbH.

Introduction and certification of quality assurance system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.

General contractor for the planning and construction of combined gas and steam turbine plants.

 

1994

The Dresden engineering office changed to the Dresden office.

 

1998

Expansion of facility technology division with orders from the electronics industry (clean room systems).

 

2000

Expansion of the power engineering and environmental technology division.

General contractor for the turnkey construction of biomass heating power plants including all the necessary approvals procedures.

 

2001

Increase in chemical and petrochemical activities through the setting up of offices in Nünchritz, Antwerp and Vienna. Setting up of sales office in Berlin.

 

2002

Involvement in the further development and commercial implementation of solar thermal high-temperature power plants.

Supply of the hot gas piping system for the experimental plant in Almeria/Spain. 

 

2003

Kraftanlagen München GmbH looks back over its successful company history and celebrates its 50th anniversary.

 

2004

Kraftanlagen Anlagentechnik München GmbH was renamed Kraftanlagen München GmbH.

Setting up of the Essen office strengthens regional presence in the west of Germany.

Expansion of engineering capacities through takeover of the engineering office Kiefer & Voss GmbH, Erlangen.

 

2005

Integration of the subsidiary Kraftanlagen Fertigungsbetrieb Reinsdorf GmbH in the headquarters Kraftanlagen München GmbH.

 

2006

Strengthening of presence of Kraftanlagen München in Austria through the takeover of Caliqua Wien GmbH.

 

2007

Addition of production technology to the service portfolio of Kraftanlagen München through the acquisition of Finow Rohrleitungssystem- und Apparatebau Serviceleistungs GmbH, Eberswalde and Finow Energy GmbH, Eberswalde.

Setting up of a subsidiary in Romania (Kraftanlagen Romania SRL) and a new office in Berlin.

 

2008

Kraftanlagen München increases its share in Ingenieurbüro Kiefer & Voß to 100 % on January 1st, 2008.

 

2009

Construction of a new office building for the Burghausen branch office in the new industrial area of Burghausen/Haiming. Expansion of the prefabrication capacities to MP/LP piping systems at the subsidiary company FINOW Rohrsysteme GmbH. Enhancement of the heat treatment facilities through the inauguration of a new annealing furnace at FINOW Rohrsysteme GmbH. Consolidation of our international presence through the founding of the subsidiary company “Kraftanlagen Power Plants” with headquarters in Munich.
